Welcome to our website! We hope you’ll enjoy browsing it, and you’ll learn a little more about us and what we do.
As two members of the Foggy Bottom/Georgetown community, we were eager to bring music to our neighbors, and so we oversaw the creation of a chamber music group, the Ensemble Ulysse. This group stems forth from the desire to perform chamber music written for varied instrumentation, and includes musicians from around the globe, brought together by a deep personal commitment to music-making and a common perspective on the present state and future direction of our art. As a goal we seek to create gripping, meaningful, and yet approachable performances outside of the limitations of a group such as a string quartet.
This past season, we were fortunate to be in-residence at Georgetown Lutheran Church, 1556 Wisconsin Avenue, NW, which offers a great location, nice acoustics, and an overall warm and welcoming atmosphere for our group.
Thank you, Georgetown Lutheran Church!
We will miss you very much, and hope to visit and play more concerts in the future!
As you probably know, we are moving to Montreal -new adventure, colder country, hopefully beautiful music making. Our best to you all, and soon for more information on Ensemble Ulysse!
